On this site you can find information about Mountnessing Village Council with links to all the other public bodies who provide public services to our village. Also information regarding events taking place within the village community.
Mountnessing is a rural community ly
ing within the green belt to the north of Brentwood. Surrounded by farmland, the village offers a range of local services with the village hall, primary school, churches, and our iconic village windmill.
The village council is currently made up of 6 councillors with 3 vacancies. Details of the councillors, scheduled meetings etc can be found on the village council section. All members of the public are welcome to the attend the council meetings, held on the 2nd Monday of each month except for August and September.

A MESSAGE TO ALL RESIDENTS FROM MOUNTNESSING VILLAGE COUNCIL
Residents may be aware that Brentwood Borough Council are conducting a Local Governance Review, which includes a review of the Parishes within the Borough. As part of the initial consultation, Parish Councils were provided with a survey to complete regarding governance, boundary lines etc. As a result of Stage 1 of the consultation, unbeknown to Mountnessing, Ingatestone and Fryerning Parish Council have submitted a proposal to take the following areas into the ward of Ingatestone & Fryerning – Lower end of Heybridge Road, Mountney Close, Court View, Burnthouse Lane, Blossom Park, the recycling centre and the Bushcade area. This amounts to just over a 1/3 of Mountnessing.
