A MESSAGE TO ALL RESIDENTS FROM MOUNTNESSING VILLAGE COUNCIL

Residents may be aware that Brentwood Borough Council are conducting a Local Governance Review, which includes a review of the Parishes within the Borough. As part of the initial consultation, Parish Councils were provided with a survey to complete regarding governance, boundary lines etc. As a result of Stage 1 of the consultation, unbeknown to Mountnessing, Ingatestone and Fryerning Parish Council have submitted a proposal to take the following areas into the ward of Ingatestone & Fryerning –
Lower end of Heybridge Road, Mountney Close, Court View, Burnthouse Lane, Blossom Park, the recycling centre and the Bushcade area. This amounts to just over a 1/3 of Mountnessing.

Stage 2 of the consultation is now live via the attached link for all residents to comment on these plans. When accessing the link, scroll down for the area containing Ingatestone & Mountnessing.

Mountnessing Village Council will be dropping an information newsletter to residents ASAP containing further information on the significant impact this proposal could have to residents in the entire village, residents in the areas concerned and also the huge ramifications on the functioning of Mountnessing Village Council should this proposal be agreed.

We encourage all residents to complete the survey and have your say on the future of your village.

The consultation is open until 5th July 2026.We hope we can count on the support of all residents.

Cllr Dale – Chair of Mountnessing Village Council
